Elizabeth Duke resigns from the Fed's Board of Governors, effective August 31. A voter this year on the FOMC, Duke is considered an expert in bank regulation and housing finance - she was previously an executive at a number of banks, including Wachovia. She's credited with helping craft a compromise among a divided FOMC that allowed QE III to move forward last year.
