SunPower's (SPWR +2.1%) diverse customer base and its ability to enter markets where subsidies aren't prevalent makes it Baird's top pick among solar companies, which the firm continues to like even after shares have soared 360% YTD. On First Solar (FSLR +2%), the firm says its business model "will become increasingly difficult as rooftop market growth will surpass utility projects."

On my blog here on Seeking Alpha, on January 13th, 2013, I wrote a piece titled, SPWR: The Safest, Short-Term Monster Stock On The Nasdaq (http://bit.ly/11bhI1E) in my Options2Wealth public portfolio, again here on Seeking Alpha, my initial purchase, made on December 31st, 2012 was SunPower CALL options for which I allocated 40% of my initial investment capital...Today, almost 7 months later, I am just as bullish on SunPower as I was then...And as I have stated a number of times on my blog, SunPower's share price will eclipse that of First Solar sooner than we think...kp

Bought (SPWR) simply because Buffett bought its solar farms.

Good Call Options2Wealth, I was there with you buying last Dec, but much has changed (for the better) since my initial purchase, and I'm not talking just about the stock price.

Initially, my interest in SPWR stemmed from a flattening of panel prices.

Today, there are just too many irons in the fire to mention, but I found this recent article intriguing. It may help people understand where the solar industry is going.
