On top of reporting of a major surge in both mobile search traffic and ad revenue, online ad firm RKG offers some negative data for Facebook (FB). RKG clients reported CPM-based ad prices for Facebook's FBX exchange (delivers sidebar ads based on non-Facebook activity) were 78% below display ad averages, and that revenue per ad click was 9% below those for other display campaigns. Though Facebook's ad rates/impressions and brand support have been growing, complaints about the usefulness/relevancy of its ads remain widespread. (click-through rates) (news feed FBX test)
