My goodness! It would be mystifying for GS not to generate a tremendous increase in revenue. Now is a wonderful time to be a 'big banker'. I think even I could take free Fed money, leverage it up say ten or twelve times in Government paper, take a portion to play an equity market that is also Fed protected and voila' revenue/profit growth! Meanwhile all those underwater loans can continue to be shown at full face value with no need to adjust to real world value. Now bankers can 'justify' their eight or nine digit bonuses. Isn't cronyism wonderful?

What disgusts me even more, is there are very few mainstream pundits and investment gurus warning about this rotten core of our current elitist economic model. They parrot the "improving economy" , "encouraging employment data", "stock market gains", claptrap, ad nauseum, as if misallocation of capital is a newly discovered path to prosperity instead of a proven formula for another crash. Have they no shame?
