The global contraction of smartphone sales have to be considered before judging this loss.

QoQ, Nokia sold 2,1 Million less mobile phones and increased the profitable Lumia sales by 1,3 Million smartphones.

I am Long Nokia and work within NSN which is now a great fundamentally different Company which has transformed massively over the last year or so. As a personal investor myself, I am sure that indicators in the Q2 results show the Nokia Turn around is happening and is now when no if!
Yes we are not there now but the losses are reducing, the devices are world class and I look forward to Q3 and Q4 continuing the improvement. Go Nokia!!!

Nokia´s loss of 115 Million Euro this quarter was solely because of 2 things.

EUR 157 million restructuring charge and other associated items in Nokia Siemens Networks.
EUR 151 million losses related to divestments of businesses in Nokia Siemens Networks.

If this did not happen, then it would have been a profit 193 Million Euro.

    Source, page 2 and note 2 of Nokia´s earnings release q2 2013.

    Origa,

I think when this information is digested, we'll see Nokia's price increase substantially.

The Lumia figures are getting up to the ballpark they should be; double digit millions in a quarter by the end of the year.

Mobile phones have a bit of work to do, the 501 is evidence it's happening. Bit quicker maybe.

As in Q1 Nokia has shown they have re-structured so thoroughly that they can turn a group operating profit on current sales. Not too bad a future outlook.
