Paid clicks +4% Q/Q and +23% Y/Y, better than Q1's +3% Q/Q and +20% Y/Y. Google Sites revenue (68% of total) +18% Y/Y (same as Q1), ad network revenue (24% of total) only +7%, down from Q1's +12%.     I've advertised on Google since 2004 and am not surprised their income is off. If you advertise on Google AdWords you know what I'm talking about. AdWords are the click ads on Google search results. Google has changed their approach to try to force people to pay more and it is backfiring, and I'm glad. Example - I noticed today that one of my ads is only showing on the 2nd page even though I am the ONLY advertiser - yes, there is no competition but Google still won't put my ad on the first page unless I pay $1.00 - it is pure extortion and I can't afford it, so we both lose. My bid is 40 cents and the minimum used to be 10 cents. I can't afford to pay $1 per click, SO Google loses income rather than take 40 cents per click. I'M GLAD!!!! I am focusing a lot more on Bing/Yahoo and am SICK of Google. PLEASE, someone start another search engine!!! Google is making enemies - I would never buy a consumer product from them - they don't have any customer service.

    Yes, they have added the huge arrows to the ads now.
    It only creates more false clicks and unhappy advertisers that have to pay for them.


    You have to ask yourself why they messed with the look of desktop Adsense ads. Maybe they have lost market share due to messing with the search algorithms with Panda and Penguin?


    SEO people knew months ago their search was in BIG trouble when they released the worthless disavow list.


    Can anybody get Eric Schmidt back.
