And the results for GECC were --------? I think some comment on this large biz segment is warranted.

I think I saw a slide on the earnings report that listed an expected $1.98 returned to GE this year from GECC and $6.98 next year.

What happened to revenues? The item that cannot be manipulated every quarter is going south for nearly every one of the companies that have flatlined for 15 years. KO, GE, MSFT, INTC, etc.

GE is a winner for income oriented investors, and is getting better in every way!
Cutting the risk aspects of GE Capital is positively the right way to go for CEO Jeff Immelt.

i guess if you just wanted income, but for anyone who invested in it before the great recession, capital preservation unfortunately isn't there.

I am glad others see positives in this report. You really have to read deep to get a true picture as financial reporters let GE write their stories.

eg Marketwatch headline GE reports 1% inc in profit

Reality - Continuing earnings before tax <11%>

eg Headline GE posts growth in 6 of 7 Industrial Units

Reality - Industrial revenue is down

What's the excitement out there on the street? Revenue is down, Operating profits are way down, GE isn't sparkling as in past.

GE hit AMAZING new post recession highs following Jeff Immelt's glowing comments and the excellent progress report for General Electric.
GE is still a winner for income oriented investors, and is getting better in every way!
BUY GE at current very attractive prices, dividend returns and terrific prospects for imminent capital gains and dividend increases.
    GE IS A WINNER!
