Investigators are looking at whether damaged wiring connected to the emergency locator transmitter of an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing (BA) 787 sparked a short circuit and caused a fire on the aircraft at London's Heathrow Airport earlier this month. The FAA is instructing Dreamliner operators to inspect the wiring, although that's short of a recommendation from the U.K. regulator to remove the beacon, which is made by Honeywell (HON).
