More on Altria (MO) Q2 earnings: Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.62 gained 5.1% Y/Y. The bottom end of guidance is lifted a penny, with FY13 EPS now expected at $2.36-$2.41. 3.7M shares repurchased during Q at average price of $36.27 for total cost of about $135M, leaving $165M remaining in program (expected to be completed by year end). CC at 9 ET. No premarket action in stock yet. (PR)

    I expect more from MO, they did not even make there numbers, top or bottom line, so I don't think they will have a dividend increase this year, I could be wrong, but it looks like we are in for some bad headwinds ahead. It looks like the stock is going to be range bound for the next six months or so.

    I hear what your saying but I am in it for the yield they will raise the divvy and continue to grow... I don't worry about every quarter if they miss by one cent or beat by a cent.

    Tough 2nd Q but they will still raise div by 2.5-3 cents per Q. Too bad the EBT cards can't buy cigs.

    Tobacco is not going out of business, neither is Altria. Today is just a meaningless blip in MO. I don't care if it is "range bound for the next 6 months". MO is a solid dividend stock. If I needed more shares, I'd buy them today.
