More on LyondellBasell's (NYSE:LYB) Q2 results: Operating income in olefins and polyolefins in the Americas rose 25%, while the Europe, Asia and International segment fell 6.9%. Operating income in intermediates and derivatives fell 27%; refining swung to a loss. Says industry conditions in the U.S. are relatively unchanged while naphtha prices are rising in Europe; renewable fuel requirements will continue to pressure results.
