Basic Energy Services (BAS -11%) shares plunge after reporting a wider than expected Q2 loss and issuing a downbeat outlook for the remainder of the year. Pointing to flat results for Q3, BAS sees production activity remaining at current levels but no longer expects any substantial bump from gas-oriented markets.
