President Barack Obama has narrowed down the list of candidates to replace Ben Bernanke as Chairman of the Fed to "some extraordinary candidates," Obama has told the NYT, and plans to make the choice "over the next several months." The leading candidates are reportedly Janet Yellen and Larry Summers. (Interview transcript)
