  • Congrats to the various posters on Seeking Alpha who came out with book estimates in the $25 -$26.50 range. You basically all got it right that AGNC's hedges would support book value and therefore the $20-$22 price was a buy opportunity.

  • Specific kudos to Scott Kennedy who came very close to the final BV number. Those who paid attention to him are making some money right now in after hours.

  • AGNC, ANH and AI all came out with better than expected earnings tonight thanks to hedging. I suspect the whole sector is headed up tomorrow.

  • No reason to dump on a great team and a great CIO when things get tough. I can accept a bad qtr or two knowing what Uncle Ben did with taper talk. Kain and Company have managed bonds in all types of environments, and their hedges proved good again. Glad I added to my position in the low 21s ( 21-21.40 ).
