Icahn-backed WebMD board member resigns

Icahn Capital portfolio manager David Schechter, appointed to WebMD's (WBMD -1.5%) board in June '12, has resigned from the board.

The resignation comes with WebMD shares having posted huge 2013 gains following an ugly 2012, and WebMD having thwarted Icahn's activist efforts with the help of poison pill provisions.
