The head of YouTube (GOOG +0.5%) tells All Things Digital (video) that interactive ads on new content channels created by Google can command up to 10X the price that ads on the YouTube website do as measured by CPM. It's an important distinction if Google revenue growth models factor in the lower average ad rate.

    Yep, cost per thousand impressions/plays/view... -- it's technically "cost per mille". It's actually an artifact from the print advertising world.
