- Groupon (GRPN) has named Eric Lefkofsky its permanent CEO, and Ted Leonsis its chairman.
- Lefkofsky, a controversial figure, was previously Groupon's chairman, and (since Andrew Mason's firing) has been sharing an "Office of the Chief Executive" with Leonsis, who until now was Groupon's vice chairman.
- Leonsis: "The Board is encouraged by Groupon’s performance under Eric’s leadership, and we’re pleased that he has agreed to lead the company through this important stage of its evolution."
