Google's (GOOG) mobile search ad requests doubled in Dec. 2011 from the year-ago period, claims a company exec. Google, which has a dominant share of the mobile search market, is hoping tweaks such as a greater emphasis on location-based ads will help keep its mobile ad revenue soaring. Cowen estimates Google's mobile ad sales could reach $5.8B this year, and $17.4B in 2015.
