PTC's short interest dove in 2H July; shares near 52-week high


PTC's (PMTC +1.9%) closed near its 52-week high of $28.00 after Nasdaq reported short interest fell 48% from July 15 to July 31, to 3.3M shares.

The PLM/design software developer had a short ratio of 3.50 as of July 31 (down from 11.59 on July 15), as its average daily volume grew in tandem with the reduction in short interest.

Institutions own 97.2% of outstanding shares. Another 2% are held by insiders.
