    GE should not have been acting like an investment bank, hedge fund or private equity group in the first place.

    GE is cleaning up its act, selling non-core assets and boosting their growth opportunities. Turning a battleship around takes time, but they will probably succeed.

    Very interesting, i'm long ARCP and glad to see them picking up these properties. Wondering if it's time to start a position in GE now that they are trying to right the ship....

    GE is making the right moves, focusing on their core business and discarding the detritus of failed non-core ventures. Hope they continue in the same should only be good news long-term for their shareholders.
