- Starting in 2016, Netflix (NFLX) will be "the exclusive U.S. subscription television service" for first-run films from The Weinstein Company. Netflix subs will receive access to theatrically-released Weinstein films "instantly in the pay-TV window." (PR)
- As its IMDB page demonstrates, Weinstein has backed a number of popular films in recent years, including Django Unchained and Silver Linings Playbook. It's currently working on Kill Bill: Vol 3 and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II, among other projects.
