Starbucks dabbles with soda products

Starbucks (SBUX +0.1%) tests "handcrafted" sodas at stores in Atlanta and Austin as the company considers a bigger entry into one of the last beverage categories it doesn't have a presence in.

Customers at the select stores can order the drinks with different levels of carbonation depending upon their preference.

A spokesperson for the company says the company will wait until after the summer before deciding on a broader rollout.

I like that idea. The ability to control the carbonation is spot-on when it comes to soda. Only at SBUX would this be possible---handcrafted sodas.
