- Boeing (BA) has completed constructing the first plane of the second version of its Dreamliner jet, the 787-9.
- The aircraft is 20 feet longer than the 787-8, can carry 40 extra passengers and can fly a further 300 nautical miles.
- Boeing is due to deliver the first 787-9 to launch customer Air New Zealand in mid-2014. (PR)
