GD faces more competitors in tender for $6.9B in USAF orders

The U.S. Air Force has added eight companies to the list of those allowed to compete for its six-year $6.9B NETCENTS-2 program, which funds the purchase of equipment for the USAF's IP network.

That adds to the eight firms, including General Dynamics (GD), who were already allowed to bid. Other than GD, the companies in the running don't appear to be household names. (PR)
