Treasury prices slip amid international calm and GDP data


The bid for Treasurys disappears as the West rethinks its rush to military intervention in Syria and the revision to Q2 GDP comes in fast (even though the calendar is 4 weeks from Q4).

TLT -0.5% premarket and the 10-year yield rises 5 bps to 2.81%.

    Is it safe to be short US treasuries for the next 6-18 months, considering that given the likely appointment of Summers, and the tapering of QE, rates are almost certain to rise?
