Polaris unit to recall motorcycles

A Polaris (PII) subsidiary says some Indian motorcycles produced between December 10, 2008 and November 1, 2012 may have defective rear wheel rims that could crack, causing a loss of air pressure.

The problem "could cause the vehicle operator to lose control, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash."

The NHTSA is aware of the issue and owners will be notified of the recall. (PR)
