China non-manufacturing PMI falls 0.2% m/m

    That is still a pretty good PMI. Remember that the PMI questionnaires basically ask whether things are better or worse than last month. Thus, even if the PMI for August is slightly lower than July, the fact that it is over 50% still means that more than half of people questioned believe things improved from July.

     

    Also if you look at the details, the new orders index actually went up. The prices indexes went down, which means there should be less pressure on inflation.
