Netflix adds exclusive content from comedian Russell Peters

On Oct. 14, Netflix (NFLX) will begin streaming a 70-minute comedy special featuring content from a Sydney, Australia show given by Russell Peters during his "Notorious" world tour, as well as a 4-part documentary about the tour called Russell Peters vs. the World. (PR)

Reed Hastings mentioned in Netflix's Q2 shareholder letter the streaming giant plans to add documentaries and stand-up comedy shows to its arsenal of original content.

    A lot of bad things can happen to Netflix; that is why I have taken profits on most of my shares. But bet against the company? No, thanks.

    Wow no not a 70 minute stand up routine from someone I've never heard of plus a 4 part documentary! Oh sign me up would hate to miss such entertainment.

    Those shows will probably not be my favorites either. No matter, there are tons of other options.


    Those who say that they cannot find anything to watch on Netflix are not exploring its library as they should.
