Treasury, bund yields rise on upbeat data

The yield on the 10-year hits a two-year high at 2.95% as upbeat data on U.S. manufacturing and construction spending gives the market more reason to bet on a September taper.

A similar dynamic is taking place across the pond, as the yield on German 10-year bunds (another safe haven) crosses 2% to a 17-month high amid some of the best economic data to come out of the eurozone in years.
