Outlet stores working for a pair of high-end sellers

  • Coach (COH +0.9%) and Nordstrom (JWN +0.4%) are two high-end retailers which have successfully used outlet stores to boost sales without cutting into their brand's cachet.
  • Both retailers use the channel to offload discontinued products, while also designing clothes specifically for the lower price points.

What a nonsense headline! I agree Coach used outlet stores to boost sales. But who said Coach boost sales without cutting into its brand cachet? The headline did not quote who makes this comment.
