Dominion Resources (D +0.3%) receives Energy Department approval to export natural gas from its Cove Point terminal in Maryland to countries that don't have free trade agreements with the U.S.

The department says Dominion is now conditionally authorized to export up to 770M cf/day of natural gas over a 20-year period.

With the decision, the Obama administration has now authorized 6.37B cf of liquefied natural gas to be sold to non-free-trade nations.
