Apollo Residential slashes dividend by 43%

Apollo Residential Mortgage (AMTG) slips 2.3% premarket after slashing its quarterly dividend to $0.40 per share from $0.70 previously. The annualized yield is 9.8%, based on last night's $16.32 close.

    This cut is crazy huge. AMTG went from one of the higher yielding mREITs to one of the lower yielding ones in one quarter. lets hope WMC doenst follow suit. rethinking this one for sure, NYMT didnt cut the dividend and for some reason is falling just as hard as AMTG today.
