Newcastle declares $0.10 dividend in first Q since NRZ spinoff

Newcastle Investment (NCT) declares a quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share in the first full quarter of operations since the New Residential (NRZ) spinoff.

This quarter's $0.10 is consistent with the $0.17 payout in place before the divestment.

Annualized, it's a 6.9% yield based on last night's close of $5.80.

The cut looks like it was enough to scare someone as shares slip 1.7% premarket to $5.70.

NCT and RSO are my "special agent" reits....quietly doing the work while my Mreits make alot of noise and headlines. I think I might need more NCT and less drama.

Anxious to see how the spin-off of NewMedia plays out. Adding to my NCT position is on hold until the dates and details of that deal are more firm.

Great! Now I can buy more shares of (NCT) ahead of its planned spinoff of its media business.

And at $5.70 a share, you can buy several hundred shares.
