Rocket Fuel blasts off following IPO

Rocket Fuel (FUEL) opened for trading at $59.25 and is currently at $57.55, up 98.5% from a raised IPO price of $29.

That gives the fast-growing online ad services/analytics tech firm a market cap of $1.87B, or 17.5x 2012 sales.

    Why do decent companies let the underwriters screw them so hard in the pricing? They should have gone the dutch auction route, the way Google did!


    Instead, all the free $$$ goes to the underwriters' big clients who can flip for a huge win, no? Nothing has changed on wall street.
