Sprint makes upgrade program official, Macquarie cuts estimates

As previously reported, Sprint's (S -3.8%) One Up smartphone upgrade plan allows users to get a new smartphone every year for no money down and $27/month, while also receiving a $15/month discount on Sprint's Unlimited voice/text/data plans.

In addition to new and upgrade-eligible subs, current subs who have had their phone for at least 12 months will be able to sign up through the holidays. (PR)

Separately, in a note that could be pressuring shares, Macquarie's Kevin Smithen has cut his 2013 EBITDA forecast to $5B from $5.24B, and his 2014 forecast to $6B from $7.3B.
