Greece on track to hit primary budget surplus

Greece may be on course to achieve a primary budget surplus this year, an achievement that would allow it to seek further debt relief from its lenders.

The government and troika officials are also close to agreeing on a joint GDP forecast for this year and next, an official says.

Troika officials arrived in the country yesterday amid speculation that the government is considering ways to avoid a third bailout.

Greek shares (GREK) are -0.15%.
