Cash-strapped USPS hikes first-class stamp cost

The USPS proposes raising the cost for a first-class stamp by $0.03 to $0.49.

The agency cites ongoing financial distress in asking for the rate hike.

    It's still an excellent deal. UPS is about $5 for the same service.

    In my country a stamp costs about $0.90. So .49 is a pretty good deal

    Not that big of a deal in my opinion. They need to bring in more revenue, period.


    They might as well made it a flat $0.50.
