Looking forward to the next dividend hike, but am pleased to take the .45 on Nov. 1. Upped position last Friday at $33.75. Most acquired in the mid to high 20s.

hard to beat 5% yield. I have several companies that have a higher DG rate but not the high yield

They might be having such a high yield in order to attract investors because maybe its not as solid company as they want us to believe?

I see many communication companies with high dividends. I think T is slightly higher because the stock price is depressed.

    They should've raised it regardless.

    Matthew,

Look at the dividend history. The annual increase typically comes in December. Why would they raise the div a quarter early?
