Angie's List sells off following B. Riley note

  • B. Riley, which has cut its Angie's List (ANGI -9.7%) estimates, thinks the departure of CTO Manu Thapar could be a sign of poor performance for the company's local services marketplace.
  • In August, Angie's acquired home maintenance site BrightNest in an effort to create "a user-friendly front-end" for its marketplace, and in doing so process a larger share of the transactions that stem from its site. Share sold off in August following a Q2 EPS miss.

No, I'm sure he left because he thought everything was going so well with ANGI that his efforts were no longer needed there...
