Nintendo to cut the cord on the Wii in Japan

Nintendo (NTDOY.PK) says it will stop producing Wii gaming consoles in Japan in order to focus on the new Wii U.

The company has no plans to stop selling the older Wii in foreign markets where consumers are still showing demand for the dated console.
