Pandora +1.6% premarket after releasing Sep. audience metrics

Pandora's (P) Sep. listeners hours totaled 1.36B, +1% M/M and +18% Y/Y. The Y/Y growth represents a pickup from August's 16%. (PR)

The company's share of U.S. radio listening rose to 7.77% from 7.46% in August, 7.08% in July, and 6.53% a year ago. It's still below a February peak of 8.48%.

Active listeners +1% M/M and +25% Y/Y to 72.7M.

The figures are for a month that saw the removal of Pandora's 40-hour/month free mobile listening cap, and the arrival of competition from iTunes Radio (following iOS 7's Sep. 18 launch).
