Polaris rallies on UBS outlook for Indian brand

Polaris Industries (PII +3.3%) rallies as UBS raises its price target on the shares to $142 from $121.

"Channel checks indicate strong response to the Indian brand," Analyst Robin Farley says, adding that "it sounds [like] from both mgmt & channel checks that the biggest issue for Indian is supply constraints."

In light of this, UBS is sticking with its current year outlook but sees upside to estimates in 2014.

You mean the greedy pickers. Those shows are 101 classes into how to ripoff people. I hate those vulture low life shows. They teach how to cheat elderly people. Sick!

The all new Indian is a totally new build separate from Victory and independently directed. Built to quality standards above the Victory standards and as a true Indian engineering evolution; not a knock off of anything else. Already the reviews in the industry consumer mags are superior to HD similar models. This is a "true" Indian big cruiser with real performance and detailed quality build at a price point that undercuts HD offerings.

That's why it is a big winner for Polaris and enthusiasts alike. Pawn stars be damned. PII was at 85-95 range when the Indian production information began to become public. Polaris has the resources both intellectual and financial to take this segment of the market in stride and on the drawing board are true sport performance models to come.
These are unheard of in the American brands since Buell left (got dumped badly by) Harley.

Panache and performance from an American brand modernly engineered mc at a reasonable price? Never thought I'd live to see the day.

Now, if only the nanny state government will restrain itself from taking action over the name and the logo/fender running light/etc.
