Jobless Claims jumps to 374K


Initial Jobless Claims: +66K to 374K vs. 310K consensus, 308K prior unrevised.

Continuing claims -16K to 2.91M.

    So I read that the government furloughs won't impact these numbers mostly since they go into a separate pool AND these numbers are delayed a week.

     

    That's a HUGE jump up if that's the case. Seems like this is the time of year when that number should be getting better with Holiday hiring starting.
