Shutdown gives slight edge to Boeing: FT

The government shutdown has apparently given Boeing (BA -0.5%) a slight edge in its dogfight with rival Airbus (EADSF.PK) for commercial aviation supremacy.

BA has the authority to inspect and approve some planes in the absence of FAA certification procedures.

This "Organizational Designation Authorization" has allowed the company to make deliveries during the shutdown while Airbus has already missed four deliveries to U.S. customers "because they have been unable to receive FAA registration," FT notes.

    Thomas,
In that case I recommend that you take some of your money off the table. A little profit in the bank might ease some of that bitterness you are spreading around. A properly managed holding of Boeing can be a money maker. If you don't see Boeing fitting into your plans, SELL!
