GM is weighing a restructuring plan for its Opel/Vauxhall unit that could include closing assembly plants in Germany and the U.K., claims the WSJ's sources. GM's Euro operations, hurt by declining industry-wide auto sales on the continent, lost $580M over the first 9 months of 2011. This has led GM to weigh cost-cutting efforts, though labor unions could stand in the way. (previously)
