- The bank's head of compliance and government, Hector Sants, is taking a temporary leave of absence because of "exhaustion and stress," and plans to return to work next year. The former head of the Financial Services Authority, Sants was hired by Barclays (BCS) in December amid the fallout from the Libor scandal.
