Herbert is widely regarded as an incompetent manager and explorer. He left a legacy of failure at TNK-BP and Talisman. I cannot imagine how BP and Mike Daly did not have a proper succession plan and had to accept Herbert, who only 5 years ago BP rejected coming back into the company following his stint in TNK-BP. Another disaster for this once solid company. This would never happen in Exxon, Shell or Chevron. I'm selling all my BP shares on Monday.

When someone makes this dramatic of a statement, it's nice if they can document their position. Can you? Not arguing, but I am long BP and would like to know the skinny.
