Raytheon awarded $71.7M for Patriot upgrades

Raytheon (RTN) gets $71.7M to upgrade the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System with a new Radar Digital Processor, thereby improving reliability by 40%.

"These major enhancements to the Radar Digital Processor pave the way for improved target detection and identification, multifunction surveillance," RTN says.

The company will also modernize the Modern Man Station with "color LCD displays, touch screens and soft keys [giving] soldiers the ability to more quickly identify threats, assess the situation and make decisions." (PR)
