Groupon falls, ITG thinks Q3 billings could be light

ITG Research thinks Groupon's (GRPN -6.2%) North American billings growth slowed down in August, and more still in September. That leads the firm to think Q3 estimates are at risk.

Groupon's recent turnaround has largely been fueled by its North American unit, which now receives about half its orders via mobile. While Groupon's North American revenue (62% of total) rose 45% Y/Y in Q2, EMEA sales fell 24%, and sales elsewhere 21%.

Q3 results are due on Nov. 7.
