- Stock index futures are mostly little-changed, though the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) is squeezing out a small 0.2% gain behind big moves higher in Microsoft and Amazon following last night's earnings reports.
- Europe's off moderately, with the periphery again bearing the chunk of the damage. Spain -0.6%, Italy -1%. In Asia, the Nikkei extends its slump another 2.8% with a stronger yen a convenient excuse for the headline writers, but at ¥97.24 it's little-changed from yesterday and firmly within its range of the last few months. The Nikkei is ahead by 40% from a year ago - sometimes things shooting higher need to go down a bit.
- 10-year Treasury yields are lower by 2 basis points to 2.51%.
