- In a new 13D, Carlos Slim discloses he has raised his stake in America Movil (AMX) to 34.3%. Slim's Inmobiliaria Carso recently bought $248M worth of shares, and another Slim-owned company, GFI, bought $9.5M worth of shares.
- Slim had a 30.8% stake in the giant Latin American carrier in April, and a 29.5% stake a year ago. His latest disclosure comes shortly after America Movil released its Q3 results; shares initially traded lower in response to the numbers, but closed with a small gain.
